"I have set up visits to Georgia (Dec. 17-19), Alabama (Jan. 7-9), Tennessee (Jan. 14-16), Auburn (Jan. 21-23), and Clemson (Jan. 28-30)," said Gabe Wright Monday evening.
Those are the five schools that Wright will visit officially and he will sign with one of those on Signing Day.
At one time, the 6-foot-3, 300 pound interior defensive lineman out of Columbus (GA) Carver planned to commit at the Under Armour All-American game on January 5, but that is no longer his plan. He now could go to the first Wednesday in February, better known across the country as National Signing Day.
One SEC school has held a big lead for months, but lead has slimmed down a bit.
"I have opened things back up now, but I would say Auburn still leads by a hair," Wright said.
Auburn and Tennessee have in-home visits scheduled with Wright this week before he leaves for Athens on Friday afternoon.
