The trip to Clemson was the first Tigertown visit for Central Parks Christian (Birmingham, Ala.) senior small forward K.J. McDaniels.

"In a couple of weeks, we're probably going to make a decision, but Clemson has been the best visit so far that I've taken," he recently told CUTigers.

"It looks like we may be choosing Clemson."

McDaniels and his parents arrived in Tigertown Saturday morning and left after the game.

"I really enjoyed it. The game was exciting. The fans were wild, and I really liked it. The atmosphere is cool, too," he said, when asked about the game.

They checked out the campus during the day.

"We rode around town. We ate at Mellow Mushroom, the restaurant on campus. Then, we went to the academic center, which I really liked," McDaniels said.

Clemson offered during the visit, joining Arkansas Little Rock, Murray State, Tulane and Missouri.

Wichita State, Florida, UAB, Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech are also expressing interest.

He's visited UAB and has scheduled one to VCU later this month.

Assistant coach Earl Grant has been on McDaniels for close to two months.

"He talks to me the most about the academic program, and how much they support you—the athletes," McDaniels said.
