CUTigers checks in with Clemson verbal commitment Colton Walls after he visits Tigertown.

LB Colton Walls Profile

CUTigers caught up with the Scout.com two-star linebacker Colton Walls as he was on the way back home to Charlotte.

"We got in around 3 [Friday]. I had my meeting with coach [Dabo] Swinney. After that, it was like 4, we had a little free time before dinner. I spent my free time with my player host, Spencer Shuey," Walls said.

On to Saturday.

"We toured the campus. We went to see the freshman dorms. We got a little workout preview with a couple players," he said. "We had meetings with coaches, defensive and offensive meetings.

"The banquet was good last night."

Since Walls' meeting with Swinney was on Saturday, he left shortly after having breakfast Sunday morning.

As for the meeting with Swinney?

"We talked about how I'm excited to get down [to Clemson] and start working out. We were talking about all the different things, when they can send me the workout manual, when I get there," Walls said.

CUTigers also asked Walls about the uncommitted prospects, like Tony Steward and Stephone Anthony.

"I talked to them a little bit, they were having a good time," Walls said.

One thing stood out on the entire trip.

"I enjoyed meeting all the players and all of the future players," he said. "That was the first time I got to meet some of them."
