Is Jenkins Georgia's top prospect?

ATLANTA - This four-star defensive end was one of the top prospects, if not the best in the inaugural Georgia Junior Bowl.

DE Jordan Jenkins Profile

Harris County (Hamilton) junior Jordan Jenkins is known as ‘The Freak'.

As a sophomore, he had 90 tackles and 10 sacks. In the Junior Bowl, he registered three sacks.

Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Purdue have all offered.

"I've gotten a few letters from Clemson, but that's about it. I'd like to hear more from them," he told CUTigers earlier this month during an on-site interview before the game.

Jenkins will be evaluating several criteria as he moves through the process.

"Most likely, I'll be looking at education," he said. "I guess, how I'd play on their defense and how I'd fit in their area."

Jenkins visited Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia and Florida for games this fall.

"I don't know which, but we're going to go to a whole bunch of colleges for junior days," he said. "We're going to go to some that I have an offer from, and see how I feel about them."

South recruiting manager Chad Simmons recently named Jenkins the top junior in Georgia.

Currently, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Florida, Auburn and Tennessee make up his favorite schools. Top Stories
