CUTigers spoke with Davis shortly after the visit, which lasted about an hour.

"It was good. We were just talking about when I was going to come up. He was asking me about my grades. The main thing was just to focus on my grades," he said.

The target date for his arrival to Clemson is July 2.

Before then, Davis needs to add a qualifying test score, and he's confident will happen.

The visit also allowed for Swinney to meet Davis' mother for the first time.

"She said she really liked him. She's excited for me to go up there," Davis said.

Swinney's already visited Mike Bellamy and Sammy Watkins this week. There's another stop to make in the Sunshine State, and that's an in home with Tony Steward.

"I've been talking to Tony Steward," Davis said. "I'm praying to God we get him. He's a great player."

From his class, he keeps up with fellow commits Grady Jarrett and Deshawn Williams.
