Elite OT back in Clemson, again

Two of the state's top 2012 offensive linemen visited Clemson on Saturday afternoon for the basketball game against North Carolina.

CUTigers caught up with Ninety Six junior offensive tackle Oliver Jones after the visit.

"This time, the game was a lot better, because it was a bigger game," he said. "Well, I don't know if I'd call it a bigger game, because Florida State was a pretty good team. It was a much closer game, I'll say that. Sitting court-side wasn't bad either."

He and Dorman guard Patrick Destefano had just visited Clemson last month for junior day.

On Saturday, Jones, his father and Destefano sat behind the Tigers' bench during the game, alongside head coach Dabo Swinney, recruiting coordinator Jeff Scott and their wives. Fellow 2012 prospect Jonathan Bullard was there, too.

"We just came in registered, chilled at the lounge for a little bit and went to the game, and went home," Jones said.

Next weekend, he'll visit South Carolina for junior day. A return trip to Clemson for junior day on Mar. 5 is also in the cards. Beyond those two, he's not sure what's next.

Jones plans to see a few spring practices and some spring games.
