Destefano gets 1-on-1 with Caldwell

Dorman junior offensive lineman Patrick Destefano spent another Saturday in Clemson, his third visit of the year.

The three-star guard, who picked up five offers last week, spoke with CUTigers after wrapping up this past weekend's Junior Day trip.

Destefano said the highlight of his most recent visit was the one-on-one conversation he had with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

"I really liked that. I hadn't yet really gotten the chance to see him much," Destefano said. "I like him a lot. He reminds me a lot of coach Brad Scott. I'd like to keep a good relationship with him."

When he was in town for the Florida State basketball game in February, Destefano only had a brief meeting with the newly hired Caldwell, who was under the weather.

Caldwell hadn't been hired nor was he on campus when Destefano was in for the January Junior Day.

Destefano had already been a frequent visitor to Clemson, so Saturday's events didn't offer much that he hadn't already seen.

"It's starting to feel like home, just how many times I've been," he said.

The next several weeks will busy for Destefano, who's now up to 19 offers. On Tuesday, Florida, Georgia, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt joined the mix.

In March and April, he'll visit Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas and Notre Dame. Top Stories
