Georgia safety has Tigers near the top

This three-star safety from Georgia picked up an offer from Clemson in late February and has Clemson listed currently listed among his top schools.

The Banneker High School (College Park) junior defensive back recently talked to about his recruitment.

"I like everything about them," Elder said, when asked about his interest in Clemson. "I like the campus, the coaches, the facilities. Some of the players, they're real cool. It's real cool there. I like it."

He visited Clemson and Florida State in February, but hasn't taken any other trips since then.

"I've been once [to Clemson], but I'm going to try to get down there for the spring game," Elder said.

Along with Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Illinois, Arkansas and Ole Miss have offered. He currently claims no favorites.

"Clemson is up there. They're in my top, but I don't know at this point," he said.

Defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison serves as Elder's primary recruiter to Clemson.

As a junior, Elder had 85 tackles and two interceptions. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 13 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Top Stories
