Florida TE Adds Clemson Offer

Brad Allen, who is considered by some recruiting services to be one of the top tight ends in the state of Florida, is already hearing from numerous schools, including Clemson. Find out which ones have offered, and which ones have not, in this report.

Brad Allen is one of the top tight end prospects in the south this year. He has a load of offers in hand already and several more will be on the way after the May Evaluation period.

"I've gotten five offers so far," said Allen. "Georgia Tech, Clemson, Furman, Vanderbilt, and Purdue have offered. Stanford seems like they are close, but they haven't offered yet. Everyone is pretty much even right now; I'm just trying to keep an open mind."

Allen played both ways for a very good Venice team that made the semi-finals last season. At defensive end he had 62 tackles and nine sacks, and at tight end he had 13 catches for 300 yards and a touchdown. Teams are recruiting him strictly for tight end at the moment.

Allen plans to camp at the Down and Dirty linemen camp as well as Georgia Tech and Florida. He is an excellent student that will have no trouble qualifying.

We will continue to keep you updated on Brad Allen, right up through signing day 2004.
