Waiting on the word

Wide receiver Artimas Samuel has plenty of offers to his name, but there's one school that he really likes that's yet to send an offer his way.

WR Artimas Samuel Profile

Samuel, a Scout.com three-star wide receiver, claims offers from all the big boys of the SEC and a few separate others from around the country.

He visited Clemson for the Orange and White spring game with a few of his Carver High School (Columbus, Ga.) teammates.

"We toured the campus. I've been there, before, so I've toured the campus. It's a great environment," Samuel recently told CUTigers.com. "We had a great time watching the Clemson Tigers showcase what they're going to be this year. It was a great time."

The rising senior enjoyed watching and spending time with former Carver teammates David Beasley and Corey Crawford.

"It was good to see those guys. It was fun getting to see them adapted to their new environment there in South Carolina," Samuel said. "They gave us some good pointers, let us know that the college level is very different than high school, you've got to bring your a-game. It was exciting getting to see them again."

He wouldn't mind being offered the opportunity to join those two in Tigertown.

"That's the offer I've really been waiting on. Who knows? We'll see," Samuel said.

Clemson defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison keeps in regular contact with Samuel.

"I talk to coach Cheese a lot. He's always down at the school, so we talk a lot," Samuel said. "Unfortunately I'm waiting on that offer."

In no particular order, his top-five includes Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Auburn and Southern California.

As a junior, he had 27 catches for 356 yards and 11 touchdowns.
