The two coaches watched Edisto High School (Cordova) four-star power forward Brice Johnson workout.

"I'm liking Clemson, but I'm open right now. I haven't thought about anywhere that I'm going," Johnson told CUTigers.com Wednesday night.

Clemson assistant coach Earl Grant is running the point on Johnson's recruitment, but it was Brownell who stopped through to watch him on Wednesday.

"I talked to coach [Earl] Grant [on Tuesday]," Johnson said. "He was just telling me that coach Brownell was coming today."

The Scout.com 2012 No. 18 ranked power forward last visited Clemson for the North Carolina game in February.

Johnson recently told Scout.com national recruiting analyst Brian Snow that Clemson coaches have him atop their 2012 board as the "number one priority."

He's joined atop the Clemson board with Florida big man Joell James, who received a visit from associate head coach Rick Ray on Tuesday.

Clemson, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia Southern are still the four offers that Johnson has to his name.

"I'm not visiting anywhere until I take the summer visits, but not anywhere right now," Johnson said.
