PG Jordan Roper Profile
Brownell and Smart were both near the South Carolina state capital to watch Irmo High School junior point guard Jordan Roper.
Since Irmo is on spring break this week, Clemson and VCU were the only two schools that were able to pop in and see Roper during the recently concluded evaluation period.
Brownell and Roper have recently spoken with one another.
"We just talked about the program, things like that--the future," Roper told CUTigers.com.
He's also had recent contact with Clemson assistant coach Earl Grant, who runs the point in Roper's recruitment.
"That was kind of the same thing [as the conversation with Brownell]," Roper said.
Clemson and VCU were named as favorites about a month ago. Since then, he's cooled off on saying which schools are sticking out.
"I'm still undecided," Roper said. "I have no favorites right now."
As a junior, Roper averaged 20 points, three assists and three rebounds.
