Clemson makes a move with Leamon

Javarius Leamon just wrapped up a three-day stop in Clemson. And it may not be long before he's back for another visit.

The Woodruff High School three-star offensive tackle talked about the three-day trip on Thursday afternoon.

"Just working on different stuff and hanging out with Patrick [Destefano], Jay [Guillermo], O.J. [Oliver Jones] and Jay Jay [McCullough]," Leamon said. "We were all just hanging out and practicing together. It went pretty well."

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive tackle also enjoyed working out with Clemson offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

"It felt normal," Leamon said. "It's kind of hard to explain it."

Was there anything that he improved during camp?

"Just working with my hips, there's a lot of stuff I picked up to help out my game," Leamon said.

A three-star, Leamon is regular contact with the Tigers' first-year offensive line coach. His recruiter of record, wide receivers coach/recruiting coordinator Jeff Scott, has encouraged Leamon to make a return trip to Clemson.

"I'm thinking about going back up to Clemson on Sunday," Leamon said. "Coach Scott wanted to meet my mom."

"I'm just letting my mom meet coach Scott, coach Caldwell and coach Dabo [Swinney]. We were talking all week, so they wanted to meet my mom."

When might a decision be on the way?

"Maybe Saturday, sometime early on," Leamon said. Top Stories
