State's top 2013 OL camps at Clemson

D.J. Park could very well end up as the top player in the state of South Carolina for the 2013 class. On Tuesday, he camped at Clemson.

The rising junior from Dillon High School was joined by two classmates, offensive lineman Bryce King and running back Jabo Lee.

Park and King spent the practice working out with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

"It was good. It's just like working out at the high school with our coaches," Park told on Wednesday. "We walked around the stadium a little bit, looked in the weight room, stuff like that."

The trio spent plenty of time with defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, who grew up in Dillon, and now recruits the area for Clemson.

"He was talking to us about how he hopes the right school for us is Clemson, but if it's not, he's going to help us anyway," Park said.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound offensive tackle has already camped at Alabama. On Saturday, he'll head to Columbia for the South Carolina camp. In late June, Park will head back to Columbia to attend the MVP Camp.

With offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, LSU, N.C. State and Wake Forest, Park is in no hurry to make a decision.

"I'm probably going to wait until close to signing day, somewhere around that time," he said.

Park currently claims no leaders, nor a group of favorites. Top Stories
