No. 19: Rennie Moore continues counting down the top 25 players on Clemson's roster. Up next is an upperclassman who just happens to be a first-year starter at defensive tackle.

19. DT Rennie Moore, RS Sr.
Moore has patiently waited his turn behind four-year starter Jarvis Jenkins. This fall, he will finally get the opportunity to start on a full-time basis in the interior of Clemson's talented defensive line..

THE RESUME: Coming out of Camden County High School in Saint Marys, Ga., Moore was rated the No. 57 defensive end in the class of 2007 by

After playing sparingly during his first season at Clemson (35 snaps in six games), he took a redshirt in 2008 in hope of gaining more playing time later in his career..

Moore played in all but one game and recorded 198 snaps in 2009. He was in on 22 tackles, 5.5 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

The 2010 season was a productive one as Moore had 26 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks in 315 snaps.

MOVING FORWARD: To better handle the rigors of an increased role along the interior of the defensive line, Moore's had to add a few pounds. Listed at 270 coming out of the spring, Moore will play closer to 280 or 285 this fall.

In the past, Moore has provided a nice boost of energy off the bench. He will need to control that emotion during the early portions of the game so he's able to play at a high level in crunch time.

He's an underrated defender who will be counted for run support and leadership this fall. Top Stories
