No. 17: Antoine McClain continues to countdown the top players on the 2011 version of the Clemson Tigers football team.

17. RG Antoine McClain, Sr.
McClain has not missed a game during his three-year Clemson career. He's started in every contest in each of the last two seasons.

THE RESUME: McClain enrolled at Clemson as the No. 9 offensive tackle in the class of 2008. The former four-star prospect was also the country's No. 109 player overall according to

The 149 snaps McClain logged during his freshman season were the team's highest among first-year freshmen. He played 22 in the Gator Bowl against Nebraska that season as well.

By year two, McClain was in the starting lineup at right guard. His 66 knockdown blocks were second on the team to senior left guard Thomas Austin. That season, McClain played 664 snaps.

He was a third-team All-ACC pick by Phil Steele after year three. As a junior, McClain played 704 snaps and led the team with 69 knockdown blocks.

MOVING FORWARD: The only Clemson offensive lineman who's played more snaps than McClain is right tackle Landon Walker (2,098). McClain could see yet another increase in snaps with first-year offensive coordinator Chad Morris operating his no huddle, hurry-up system. But, like everyone else along the Tigers' offensive front, McClain's conditioning will be put to the ultimate test.

Early returns on that front have been positive as the Tigers now gear up for the beginning of preseason camp, which is now less than three weeks away. Top Stories
