11. SLB Quandon Christian, RS So.
At the start of spring practice in 2010, Christian was listed as the third SAM linebacker. However after a strong showing through 15 practices, he exited as the starter.
THE RESUME: As a senior at Lake View High School, Christian was the nation's No. 19 strong-side linebacker in the class of 2009.
After redshirting his first year on campus, Christian played a significant number of snaps a season ago. In 2010, he recorded 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup in 387 snaps. Of the 13 games he played in, Christian started seven of them.
MOVING FORWARD: Listed at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Christian looks the part of the position he plays for defensive coordinator Kevin Steele. Down the stretch last fall, Christian was the best linebacker on the field for the Tigers.
Even with all the highly-touted freshman linebackers set to arrive on campus, Christian should be able to keep a hold on to his starting job. Of the returning linebackers, he could be the only one who sees an increase in snaps this fall.
No. 11: Quandon Christian
