S Ronald Geohaghan Profile
Geohaghan, a senior safety at Allendale-Fairfax High School, spent a good portion of the summer honing his skills.
"I just want to keep my hips low, finishing tackles. Basically, my open field tackling and keeping that low center of gravity," he recently told CUTigers.com.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect put in a lot film study.
"In some of the games where it's the fourth quarter, I really didn't have the same technique I had in the first half," he said. "Basically, just watching myself on film, I was taking some of the wrong steps and making the wrong reads."
Geohaghan didn't make film study a priority until his junior season.
"I didn't really start taking it serious until the recruiting process started," he said. "Coaches were telling me they were going to offer me, but I had to work on a few things... it was basically just the recruiting process that helped me get more serious."
Now that Geohaghan is a Clemson commitment, most schools have backed off, though two have continued to make a push.
"Some people have backed off, but South Carolina and Middle Tennessee are still on me pretty hard," he said.
Geohaghan remains firm with his pledge. He recently spent a couple of days in Tigertown.
"I just hung out with Bashaud Breeland, but I got a chance to talk with coach Cheese [Charlie Harbison] and coach [Marion] Hobby while I was up there," he said.
While in town, Geohaghan watched some of team's final summer workouts and 7-on-7 drills.
"I think really all of [the freshmen were impressive]," he said. "I saw Lateek Townsend. Tony Steward, he didn't do much. I think he's still trying to get healthy from the ACL injury. I saw Sammy Watkins, Martavis Bryant, Charone Peake, Adam Humphries -- they were working out there. Cortez Davis was a real big eye opener. Stephone Anthony is really good in coverage, for a linebacker."
As a junior, Geohaghan recorded 97 tackles (38 assisted), 14 tackles for loss, seven sacks and six forced fumbles.
As a sophomore, he had 103 solo tackles, 43 assists, and six sacks and five forced fumbles.
