RB Marquez Grayson Profile
Now a junior at Lexington High School, Marquez Grayson has a few others to his name -- South Carolina, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Virginia.
Recruiting Grayson for the Tigers is defensive tackles coach Dan Brooks.
"My coach just told me after one game that Clemson had offered," Grayson said in a recent interview with CUTigers.com.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound running back has already made two trips to Clemson. He visited Tigertown for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp in the summer and during the spring for the Orange and White.
"They're pretty good. They could do a couple of things better, but that's how most college teams are...I could probably help them out a little bit," Grayson said.
He's also made visits to South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Several trips have already been considered for the fall.
"I told my coach I wanted to go to the South Carolina, Florida game. I think I'm going to Clemson's first game, and I think to a couple of Virginia Tech games," Grayson said.
Right now, there are no favorites.
"I'm not leaning anyway yet. I have another year left. When the time comes, I'll make h the decision," he said.
Grayson wants to play running back at the next level. He would like to pick a school that's assured him that will be his position. All the schools that have offered have made that promise.
As a sophomore, he rushed for 1,328 yards and 11 touchdowns.
