Tigers on top for Alabama CB

This three-star cornerback elped his team to a huge win Friday night against Gadsden City as Oxford (Ala.) defeated the Titans 14-13 in overtime. What about his top schools in recruiting?

"It was a very exciting game," said Trae Elston. "We have never won against Gadsden City. They were 3-0 against us and beat us in the playoffs. We had a reason to beat them.

"We came out and got a big victory. The defense stepped up real big. Our offense just wasn't clicking. We told the offense we had their back."

Oxford scored on the first play of overtime, but Gadsden City answered quickly with a touchdown on their first play. The extra point was blocked by Ulric Jones who stands 6-foot-5, 250-pounds.

"When we scored I thought it was over," said Elston. "They ran a trick play. I thought we could block the kick. B

ig Ulric blocked the kick for us. It was huge." Elston has a top three, but will take all five official visits before announcing a decision.

"I am going to take official visits to Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Auburn and Clemson," Elston said.

"I am taking my official visit to Oregon in October. My top three Is still the same with Alabama, Clemson and LSU. Clemson is still on top."

Elston is currently ranked as the No. 24 cornerback in the country by Scout.com.
