However, he knows two schools that will definitely make the cut. Dawson (6'3/230), of course, is one of the most highly recruited players in the Southeast. He has over 20 scholarship offers and will announce a list of finalists for his services soon.

"Recruiting is going great. Everything is going real smooth, and I am getting a lot of attention," said Dawson.

Although the talented prospect from Charlotte has yet to release a list of final schools, two schools seem to have positioned themselves nicely for the linebacker.

"Louisville and Clemson are my top schools right now. I am in the process of putting together a final list of schools," he said.

Both of his top schools have impressed senior standout.

"I like everything about Louisville," he said. "They have done a great job recruiting me, and I love Coach Strong. I have also been real impressed with their tradition and facilities."

"At Clemson, I love the atmosphere. They have great fans and a great coaching staff. I have also developed a good relationship with my recruiting coach, Coach Pearman."

Dawson will take all 5 official visits this fall and then make a decision at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 7.

"I just want to feel comfortable with the coaching staff before I make a decision," Dawson said.

It appears that Dawson's main focus right now is his senior season. He opened the season with a dominating performance. Dawson, a two-way starter for Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology, had 10 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 rushing touchdowns. The Cardinal cruised to a 44-6 victory against crosstown Vance.
