Mallard Creek High School [Charlotte] junior cornerback Brian Walker talked to about the visit on Sunday.

"I think it was a great experience," he said. "I really liked the atmosphere down there. The fans were great."

Tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Danny Pearman, who recruits the Charlotte area, met with Walker and his parents.

"I talked to coach Pearman after the game, just [about] what I thought about the school. He said I could come down to Clemson anytime I want to," Walker said.

What stood out about that afternoon in Clemson?

"I'd never been. I already knew what the team was pretty much about. The whole atmosphere just stood out to me," Walker said.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect would also like to take visits to Auburn, Florida and North Carolina this fall.

Auburn and South Carolina have offered, and he thinks Clemson or Wake Forest may be next. Florida could also send one his way in the near future.

For now, one school has a slight lead on the rest of the pack.

"Auburn, they're starting to stick out," Walker said. "Before, it was South Carolina. For some reason, I'm starting to feel Auburn a little bit more. That's really it." Top Stories
