Big game visitor

One of the top in-state prospects from the 2013 class visited Clemson last month for the Auburn and Florida State games.

OLB Devaris Brunson Profile

Lake City junior linebacker Devaris Brunson had hoped to visit Clemson at least one other time before the Tigers' home games against nationally ranked opponents.

The two trips he did make were good ones.

"They were great. I liked the visits," Brunson recently told

What stood out?

"Clemson, the team, they really work together. When the team got rolling, they never let up," he said.

While in Tigertown on both visits, Brunson spoke with his recruiter of note, tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Danny Pearman.

"He's telling me how he liked my film that we sent up, how my grades were looking and all of that," Brunson said.

The junior linebacker also visited South Carolina for the Navy game, after he was in Clemson for the Auburn game.

"It was good. They played a good game," he said.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker claims no list of favorites.

Brunson has over 85 tackles through six games this season for Lake City, including a single-game school-record 25 against South Florence. Top Stories
