WEEK 7: Friday Night Lights

Another week of high school football is in the books, and several Clemson commitments and targets had big-time performances.

Clemson quarterback commitment Chad Kelly connected on 15 of 16 passes for 311 yards and three scores. He also carried twice for 13 yards and a touchdown. His numbers are from the first half and one series in the second half.

Jay Jay McCullough, who will play the 3-back position at Clemson, caught five passes for 53 yards in Nation Ford's 26-8 loss to South Pointe.

Fox Creek lost its first game of the season, a 20-13 defeat at the hands of Calhoun County. Marty Williams, a Clemson commitment, put up 260 total yards of offense and a rushing touchdown for the Predators.

Cordrea Tankersley completed 3 of 5 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in Silver Bluff's 23-7 win over Wade Hampton.

Clemson commitment Ronald Geohaghan had 10 tackles and forced one fumble for Allendale-Fairfax.

Senior wide receiver Quinshad Davis caught six passes for 104 yards and had touchdown receptions of 19, 13 and 31 yards in Gaffney's 55-3 win over Clover.

Cord Sandberg, who attends Manatee in Bradenton, Fla., completed 12 of 13 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns -- all before halftime. The junior quarterback has offers from Clemson and Auburn, among others. The Tigers from the SEC figure to have a leg up on the Tigers of the ACC.

Butler [Matthews, N.C.] quarterback Riley Ferguson, a 2013 prospect with a Clemson offer, completed 22 of 29 passes for 357 yards and four touchdowns.

Bishop Kenny [Jacksonville, Fla.] quarterback John Wolford completed 13 of 25 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns. One of scoring passes by the sophomore was a 47-yard to Ahmad Fulwood, a highly sought after junior wide receiver who caught three passes for 83 yards.

In Gainesville's 66-7 win over Oconee County, sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 223 yards. The sophomore holds a Clemson offer and has the Tigers out front.

Four-star running back Tarean Folston rushed eight times for 142 yards and three scores in Cocoa's 69-0 win over Cocoa Beach. Folston claims several offers, but not one from the Tigers.

A running back with an offer, Lexington's [N.C.] Marquez Grayson, had a 40-yard interception return for touchdown. South Carolina, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Virginia have also offered.

Lake City junior outside linebacker Devaris Brunson had 20 tackles and a forced fumble.
