Linebackers Kelvin Morris and Brandon Jamison are ineligible to play football at Clemson this fall, sports information director Tim Bourret confirmed Monday.
Jamison registered 48 tackles as a backup last season while Morris made 44 tackles, one sack and intercepted a pass playing as the whip linebacker.
Both players were expected to play significant roles in the Tigers defense this fall.
Clemson has already lost one starting linebacker in Eric Sampson after he was kicked off the team before the Tangerine Bowl in December.
Sampson appears to be positioning himself to be re-instated, although Tommy Bowden has yet to publicly announce anything.
Both Morris and Jamison will enroll in summer school this month, in hopes of regaining their eligibility in 2004.
