Official weekend scheduled

Next weekend, three-star power forward Phillip Nolan will make his official visit to Clemson.

The upcoming weekend stay will be the first time the Riverside University High School [Milwaukee, WI.] senior has visited Tigertown.

"I know I want to see the campus. I've been to South Carolina, but I've never been to the town. I just want to see the school," Nolan recently told

Ranked as the No. 29 power forward in the class of 2012, according to, Nolan's only other official visit was to Oregon. Clemson will be the second and final official trip.

Along with Clemson and Oregon, Minnesota and Marquette are also under consideration.

Clemson associate head coach Rick Ray serves as Nolan's primary recruiter for the Tigers.

"I know he told me the football team is pretty good, so the game is going to be pretty good," Nolan said.

The 6-foot-10, 200-pound will consider several factors as he weighs the decision.

"Basically, how comfortable I feel," he said. "My relationship with the coaches, if I have an opportunity to play my freshman year. That's pretty much it." Top Stories
