WEEK 10: Friday Night Lights

CUTigers takes a closer look at Clemson's top prospects in action in the latest edition of Friday Night Lights.

Clemson commitment Germone Hopper totaled 148 yards and three touchdowns in Berry Academy's 50-7 win against Harding. The four-star wide receiver remains a firm commitment to the Tigers.

He is also slated to play in the upcoming U.S. Army All-American game as well.

Hopper's future teammate, Bradley Pinion averaged 45 yards per punt and 68 yards per kickoff.

Clemson's latest 2012 commitment, South Aiken defensive tackle Josh Brown, had eight tackles and a tackle for loss.

In his final game at Fox Creek [North Augusta], Marty Williams ran for two touchdowns and threw for another -- a 55-yard strike. Fox Creek won 24-8 win over Ridge Spring-Monetta.

Right around the corner from Williams, Silver Bluff's Cordrea Tankersley threw a 46-yard touchdown pass and rushed six times for 35 yards in Silver Bluff's 21-0 win over Barnwell.

Fellow Clemson commitment T.J. Burrell had seven tackles and was in on a safety during Goose Creeks' 65-3 win over Ashley Ridge.

Chad Kelly was responsible for 425 total of St. Joe's 510 yards in the 39-18 win over Bishop Timon. Kelly carried 14 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

In one half, Todd Gurley scored two touchdowns and rushed for over 100 yards for Tarboro [N.C.]. Gurley has been back in contact with Clemson after the announcement reserve running back Demont Buice would be transferring after the 2011 season.

In Gaffney's 49-20 win over Northwestern, Quinshad Davis hauled in 10 receptions for 192 yards and a touchdown. Davis remains under evaluation by Clemson's staff as Gaffney continues to be ranked among the top teams in the country.

Marquez Grayson had 162 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries for Lexington [N.C.]

In the first half for Goose Creek, Tramel Terry hauled in four catches for 80 yards. Terry, who is considered one of the top prospects in South Carolina for the 2013 recruiting class, is looking closely at Clemson, South Carolina and Georgia.

Tarboro junior defensive end Tyquan Lewis had six tackles, two quarterback pressures, two tackles for loss and a 41-yard fumble recovery returned for touchdown.

Goose Creek junior linebacker Gerald Turner finished with 10 tackles and two sacks. On the offensive side of the ball, he had a touchdown catch.

Manatee [Bradenton, Fla.] junior quarterback Cord Sandberg rushed for 163 yards, including a 57-yard score.

Riley Ferguson, a junior at Butler High School in Matthews, N.C., three for 335 yards and two touchdowns.

Junior defensive end Jaylen Miller had two sacks, a tackle for loss and a pass break up for Gaffney.

John Wolford completed 9 of 17 passes for 198 yards and four touchdown. He, Fulwood and the rest of the Bishop Kenny starters played in only the first half.

Eagles Landing [McDonough, Ga.] sophomore Andrew Williams had three tackles and a sack on the defensive side of the ball. At offensive tackle, he dished out five pancake blocks.

Goose Creek sophomore Caleb Kinlaw rushed 12 times for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Gainesville [Ga.] sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 65 yards, rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns and caught a pass for a score.

Easley sophomore running back C.J. Fuller rushed 11 times for 138 yards and three touchdowns.
