MLB Gerald Turner Profile
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker, who holds offers from Clemson and South Carolina, recently spoke to CUTigers.com about the trips he's taken this fall.
Clemson: I went to the Wofford game and the Clemson and Florida State game. Their atmosphere is pretty crazy up there. It gets loud at crucial times. All the fans get loud and the players tend to play hard when the crowd gets loud.
South Carolina: I went to the game when they play Florida and the Auburn game. When I got to Carolina, we got to the student section and sit with them. We have some friends that go to school there and we have fun with them. We get to see a different part of the field, because they sit behind the field goal.
North Carolina: I was at the Virginia game. It was a pretty big campus. The fans are pretty rowdy.
Tennessee: The South Carolina game. It was pretty nice. It seems like they put a lot of money into their football program, the way they have everything stadium. It's a pretty big stadium.
Alabama: It was the LSU game. That was one of the crazier games I've been to.
As a sophomore, Turner had 38 tackles, 27 assists, eight tackles for loss, six sacks and two interceptions.
