DE Dane Rogers Profile
It's junior Dane Rogers, teammate of four-star defensive end Jonathan Bullard, who has Clemson in his final group.
Rogers visited Clemson twice this season -- he was in town for the Florida State and North Carolina games.
"Clemson, it's a good school. I like it. I like everything I've seen so far," he told CUTigers.com. "I'm liking everything. The atmosphere is great. The Tiger fans, it's Tigernation down there.
"I've talked to Carlos [Watkins] about why he likes Clemson...he's my cousin."
The 6-foot-3, 226-pound defensive end will be in Clemson plenty of times next fall, to see Watkins play. And that will be just OK with him.
"It's a good school. It's close to home," Rogers said.
Though he has no favorites at this point, Rogers currently hears from South Carolina, Florida State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Virginia Tech, among others.
"Maybe I'll pick up some offers after Christmas. If I'm lucky, before Christmas. The ones that offer me, they'll probably be the first ones I go to visit before the spring season starts," he said.
Several factors will be considered as he moves through the recruiting process.
"A good connection with the coaches. I've got to feel comfortable. You can't go to a college where you're not going to feel comfortable," Rogers said.
He bench presses 290 pounds, squats 370, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds.
