QB Deshaun Watson Profile

Gainesville High School [Ga.] sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson stopped through Clemson for several hours.

"It went well. I enjoyed it a lot. I got to see the coaches and players, watch their meetings and practice. Everything went good," he told

Watson was in Clemson from 8:30 that morning until shortly after 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

It was the first-time he'd watched the Tigers practice.

"It was very intense," Watson said. "They compete for each other. It goes really fast. They're trying to get everything perfect."

Coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Chad Morris spent plenty of time talking with the 6-foot-2, 175-pound dual threat quarterback.

"They were talking to me about staying ready, if I'm ready to commit, to let them know," Watson said. "They're really interested in me."

Along with Clemson, UCF, N.C. State and Vanderbilt have offered.

"Clemson's my favorite," he said.

For now, Watson has no other visits planned. He will be in Orlando after Christmas for the Under Armour combine.

He plans to make a commitment in the summer.

This season, Watson accounted for 3,163 yards passing and 41 touchdowns and a team-high 1,086 yards rushing with 15 scores. Top Stories
