Scott caught up with four-star safety Nick Washington.

"He was just wishing me a Merry Christmas and asking when I was going to be able to get back up there," Washington told CUTigers earlier this week.

The Trinity Christian Academy [Jacksonville, Fla.] junior will head to Clemson for the January Junior Day.

The January visit to Tigertown would be his third in the last eight months. His first trip was in June.

"I like Clemson a lot," Washington said.

He visited for the Florida State game. Also during the fall, Washington made trips to Florida and Auburn.

"Out of all the schools I've been to, they're a family-based team," Washington said of Clemson. "Coach Dabo [Swinney] has a really good coaching staff. They're doing really well this year."

He added, "I thought they did really well [this season]. They're definitely up and coming."

Washington currently claims no list of favorites, but does plan on making his decision sometime during his junior year.

As a junior, the 5-foot-11, 170-pound safety had four interceptions.

Washington was in on 90 tackles and totaled five interceptions as a sophomore.
