Tigers continue Orange Bowl prep

DAVIE, Fla. - Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney meets with media before Sunday afternoon's practice at Nova Southeastern University.

(7:48)

Opening statement...
This practice will really about getting them mentally focused. We've had a lot of physical work. Really try and get them dialed in, from a mental standpoint, really make sure we've got everything buttoned up. We won't be out here long today. Tomorrow will be like a Thursday practice for us. Then, get them in a game prep mode.

On the Bobby Dodd Award...
That's quite an honor. Hopefully, I can coach 20 more years or so, and I'll probably never receive an honor better than that. The Bobby Dodd Award is a special award, because it represents a lot of things. As I said last night, it's an honor to accept it on behalf of our team.

You show me a coach of the year, I'll show you a good staff and a bunch of good players. I'm just the name they put on the trophy. It's the staff. We've got an incredible group of coaches and a support staff and our players. They're the ones who get it done. They're the ones who make the decision to buy-in and to believe. They put the work in.

It's a real honor and a compliment to our program and the direction that we're headed. It just really kind of caps off a good year for us. I'm really humbled and honored by it.
