CB wants more time in Clemson

ATLANTA - One of the top cornerbacks in Georgia's 2013 class claims three offers. And there's at least one school that he would like to add to that list.

Flowery Branch junior Darius Curry has picked up offers from Oklahoma State, N.C. State and Tennessee. Clemson and Alabama are also expressing interest.

"Coach Charlie [Harbison], I'm not sure when it's going to be, but I want to invest some time with them. I want to get that offer from Clemson," Curry told CUTigers last month at the Georgia Junior Bowl.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound cornerback camped at Clemson last summer.

"Coach Charlie, he's a great, great coach. We connected well. All the stuff they ran, everything just worked," Currry said.

Harbison recently obtained a copy of his junior film.

"It was a week before the break, one of their coaches came [to the school]," Curry said. "He looked at my highlight tape. He took it back with him so he could show coach Charlie. We'll just have to see how things go."

He took game day visits to Alabama and Oklahoma State. His junior day visits haven't been nailed down.

His older brother, C.J. Curry, is committed to Oklahoma State's 2012 class. That could help with the Cowboys as they try to land Darius.

"It does, but I want to make sure I have a good relationship with the coaches and everyone," the younger Curry said. "It's about me. I don't want to go somewhere just because my brother is going there. It is a bonus that my brother is there, so I'll know people up there. I don't want it to be a big factor."

What will be the biggest factor for him?

"The connection with the coaches and the players," Curry said.
