The Vigor High School [Prichard, Ala.] senior took his official visit to Arkansas last weekend. On Wednesday, CUTigers spoke with his coach, Kerry Stevenson.

"He didn't play his junior year, so recruiting is starting to weigh on him. The last couple of days have been overwhelming," Stevenson said. "We had four coaches in here yesterday at the same time trying to talk to him. All of them wanted to go to his house and visit with him."

On Monday, Clemson defensive ends coach Marion Hobby stopped by a day earlier.

"Coach Hobby beat the rush. He came by on Monday," Stevenson said.

Hobby, who grew up with Stevenson, had an in-home visit with Winston on Monday.

"That's my recommendation," Stevenson said. "But he's got to make his own decision. He's got to go and like it, like it better than Arkansas or wherever else he takes his visits."

As far as this weekend's trip to Clemson, what did Stevenson tell Winston?

"I just told him to go where his hear leads him."

Winston will have three official visits left after this weekend's trip to Clemson. At the moment, he has no other plans.

Scout.com lists Winston as the No. 136 defensive end in the class of 2012. He finished his senior season with 103 tackles with 17 sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Stevenson missed his entire junior season with a shoulder injury.
