Lambert a Clemson Lock?

This All-Conference selection from Greenville is one of the many talented offensive linemen in South Carolina. He graded out at 90-percent with 28 knockdown blocks from his right offensive tackle position.

He has received offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Florida.

Corey Lambert is very athletic for his size. At 6-foot-7, 312-pounds, he runs the forty-yard dash in 5.0 seconds. Lambert has a vertical jump of 26 inches. He has a bench press of 405-pounds, squats 405-pounds, and power cleans 260-pounds.

Lambert is most interested in Clemson, South Carolina, Maryland, and Georgia. What about those four stand out?

"They are close to home, especially Clemson and South Carolina. I want my parents to come see my games," Lambert said.

Lambert said that he really enjoyed speaking to Head Coaches Tommy Bowden (Clemson) and Lou Holtz (South Carolina) and those they stand out the most.

So is there a college that stands out at this time? "So far I want to go to Clemson. My friends go there. I think I have a chance of starting at Clemson," Lambert said.

Lambert would like to take over the starting job of former Greenville High offensive linemen William Henry. He is "90-percent" sure he will attend Clemson.

So when will he make his decision?

"It will be during the season," Lambert said.

Lambert will attend the Alabama camp on June 14th and on July 11th he will attend the Georgia football camp. He attended the Clemson camp this past Saturday. Top Stories
