A prospect whose stock is on the rise is Zach Carter, a speedy outside linebacker from Harrison High School. Carter is receiving attention from a variety of colleges and mentions Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson and Nebraska among his early favorites.

A 6-1, 208-pounder, who also plays fullback, his exceptional quickness is what has colleges taking an interest.

He was clocked at under 4.4 at the Nike Training Camp at Auburn and says that he consistently runs in the 4.4s in the 40-yard dash.

Carter is still relatively inexperienced in the game. "This is my third year as a football player. I also am on the track team. I do the triple jump and I am on the 4x400 relay," said Carter.

As a junior, Carter triple jumped 44 feet and ran the 400 in 51 seconds.

Carter and his other Harrison High Hoya teammates just returned home from a weekend in Auburn where they won a team passing camp on the AU campus. He says that he is interested in the Tigers and notes that Nebraska and Tennessee are two teams that stand out early in the recruiting process. "I particularly like Nebraska's style on defense," Carter added.

He says that colleges are recruiting him as an outside linebacker and says he thinks that will be his best position at the next level. He bench presses 295 pounds and doesn't plan to visit any more colleges this for summer football camps, although he plans to go to a camp at Stephenson High School.
