CB Brian Walker Profile
Mallard Creek High School cornerback Brian Walker last visited
Clemson for the Auburn game.
"It was pretty good. I learned a lot of new things down there," he told
CUTigers about the Junior Day trip. "It was my second time. It
wasn't for a game, but I did go to a basketball game. I got to see the
education part and all of that."
What stood out to the 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect?
"What they pretty much stand for. When the chaplain spoke, things like
that. What they're trying to do with their program and school," he said.
Walker also hit N.C. State for a junior day. He'll also visit North
Carolina, and possibly Tennessee and Wake Forest.
Auburn, South Carolina, N.C. State, North Carolina, Virginia and Minnesota
have offered. He thinks Tennessee could be next.
Earlier this week, Walker updated his list of favorites.
"Right now, I would have to say [UNC] is No. 2 behind NC State," Walker
said in an interview with Inside Carolina. "NC State, I talk to
them on a daily basis. Coach [Tom] O'Brien comes up to the
school regularly and talks to me and Marquez [North] about coming down
there and seeing what it's about – I've been down there two or three
times. I have a pretty good relationship with them.
"For Carolina, I just like Coach [Larry] Fedora's
personality. He's real energetic. He seems like he's changing things
around there. Plus I know a player there, Marquise Williams, and he tells
me good things."
As a junior at Mallard Creek, Walker had 30 tackles, 12 pass breakups and
