Coach Swinney is working his old Alabama connections to see if the Tigers can steal this pro style quarterback from Hoover. Wilson's current offer list includes Clemson, Georgia Tech, Duke and Middle Tennessee, but he is also getting a great deal of interest from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, NC State and Central Florida.

What factors will determine where this prize recruit signs in February? "The biggest factor is what kind of offense the program uses. The depth chart will also be important."

Wilson is very impressed with the offensive system at Clemson. "I know they throw the ball a lot. The coaching staff is also very good."

As a junior Wilson threw for 2,634 yards and 27 touchdowns. "Arm strength is by biggest asset. I like to stay in the pocket and pass the ball at least 50% of the time."

Arm strength is not the only thing impressing the recruiters, as Wilson ran an impressive 4.5 at the Ole Miss camp last week. Wilson, who will be attending the Elite 11 camp in Vegas, also plans to camp at Clemson, Alabama, Auburn.

Staying close to home is not a high priority for Wilson. "It doesn't really matter that much. I just want to do what's best for me."

In addition, Wilson looks to be fully qualified with a GPA of over 3.6 and an ACT score of 24. We will continue to keep you posted on this outstanding quarterback from Alabama, right up through signing day 2004. Top Stories
