Top SC QB Returns from Clemson

This week is very busy for Dorchester Academy (SC) quarterback Paul Cianciolo as he has visited six colleges in the last eight days, including a nice visit to Clemson. We've got the latest on one of South Carolina's top quarterbacks, in this report.

"I stopped by Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina," says the 6-foot-5, 228 pounder. "All the coaches seemed to say I was in the top two or three at all of them, but no one has offered, so I am not going to limit a favorite. I am interested in whatever school is interested in me."

Three schools seem to be the most interested at the moment.

"Clemson, South Carolina, and Wake Forest say that I am among the top quarterbacks on their list. Wake Forest says that if I take a quarterback this year, and they are not sure they will, I am right in the mix for an offer."

The tour continues with visits on Monday to NC State, Maryland on Thursday, and Virginia next Monday.

"I hope I don't get too tired."

In terms of what's important in selecting a school, the rising senior simply says he wants a chance to play, but he would like to throw the ball somewhat.

"In a perfect offense, I would like to have just five wide receivers and throw the ball. Here we have some of that, twins, I-formation, and a lot more good pro-formations. Of course, I want a good academic school, which they all are." will continue to keep you updated on Paul Cianciolo, right up through signing day. Top Stories
