Clemson with offer to UNC commit

Late last week, Clemson offensive line coach Robbie Cadlwell offered two of North Carolina's commitments from the 2013 class.

The offers were handed to Hillside High School [Durham, N.C.] juniors Korrin Wiggins and Khris Francis.

"I had no idea that was coming," Francis told CUTigers in a recent interview. "I had plenty of mail, but I hadn't heard anything else from them, other than that. My coach hasn't said anything about them."

A 5-foot-9, 193-pound running back, Francis also has an offer from Syracuse.

"I'm still going to consider Clemson, even though I'm committed to UNC," he said.

There's one big reason why Francis will take a look at the Tigers.
,br> "C.J. Spiller was one of my favorite running backs coming out of college. That's a big one right there. That's going to put them on my radar," he said.

Francis would like to make a visit to Clemson later this spring. He plans to visit with Wiggins, a defensive back, plus Josh McNeil, a tight end, and sophomore wide receiver Travion Thompson.

All four have an offer from Clemson.

"All four of us will try to take the visit at the same time, to share the experience and the moment together," Francis said.

As a junior, he rushed for 2,251 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also had 90 yards receiving with a score. Top Stories
