Clemson Announces Special Days

Clemson has announced special home game designations for the 2012 season.

The Tigers open the season in Atlanta against Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Classic, but seven of the last 11 contests will be at home, including each of the last three.

The home opener against Ball State on September 8 will be Youth Day. The following Saturday versus Furman has been designated as Parents' Weekend. The October 6 game with Georgia Tech will be Hall of Fame Day and Football Reunion day.

Virginia Tech makes its first appearance at Clemson since 2007 on October 20 and that will be Military Appreciation Day. Both schools have a strong military tradition. After playing consecutive games on the road, Clemson will celebrate Homecoming on November 10 when Maryland comes to Clemson. The NC State game on November 17 will be IPTAY Day and the South Carolina game on November 24 will be Solid Orange Day.

Season tickets will be available starting Thursday, March 15 and can be purchased by calling 1-CLEMSON or on the internet at clemsontigers.com. Clemson also announced that Fan Appreciation Day will be Sunday, August 19.
