CB Reggie Wilkerson Profile

Reggie Wilkerson, the recipient of the Tigers' offer, attends North Marion High School in Ocala, Fla.

Now, he has the opportunity to attend Clemson.

"I was very surprised. I talked to them about a month ago about their school. For them to come out and offer me, I was really surprised," Wilkerson told CUTigers on Tuesday night.

The offer was one that he'd been looking forward to receiving.

"I always wanted to come check out Clemson. Now, that's given me the chance to come up there and check out the school and campus," Wilkerson said.

Georgia, South Carolina, Duke, South Florida and Utah have also offered.

What all does he know about Clemson?

"I don't know that much about them. I'll have to get on Google, just check them out. I know they play a lot of freshmen and sophomores, so that's a bonus."

Wilkerson has taken visits to Florida and Georgia. He'll head back to Florida on Saturday to watch the Gators' spring practice. His cousin, Latroy Pittman, is a freshman wide receiver at Florida.

There is no list of favorites.

"I just want to keep an open-mind right now and look at all the schools that offer me," Wilkerson said.

As a junior, he had 1,250 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns. He had 30 tackles and an interception on the defensive side of the ball.

As a sophomore, Wilkerson finished with 967 passing yards, 300 rushing yards and 12 scores.
