Georgia DE talks Clemson Junior Day

Just days after picking up an offer from Clemson one of the top prospects in Georgia's 2013 class recently made a Junior Day stop through Tigertown.

Archer High School [Lawrenceville, Ga.] junior defensive end Antonio Riles picked up his Clemson offer late last month.

He was in town for the March Junior Day nearly two weeks later.

What stood out?

"Just the love from the coaches -- a great environment -- just seeing everything. When I used to watch them on TV, Howard's Rock -- all that good stuff. It was exciting," he told CUTigers in a recent interview.

Riles spoke with several of the Clemson coaches.

"I got to talk to coach Dabo [Swinney] at the end. We got to talk to everybody, because we were the last people there," he said.

That group he was with included Robert Nkemdiche and David Kamara, both of whom also have Clemson offers.

"They were complimenting me…they liked the way we carried ourselves, liked the way we presented ourselves," Riles said.

He had planned a return visit to Clemson with Nkemdiche and Kamara, just days after his Junior Day stop.

"I was supposed to go, but I couldn't make it. I was supposed to go with Robert and Dave, but I couldn't make it," he said.

This spring, Riles has also visited Florida.

"I'm still planning on going to Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia. I wish I could go everywhere in one day, but I've got to plan everything out," he said.

Who leads?

"I don't really have a top-five yet, but all the schools are great. I'm just keeping my options open."

Riles would like to end his recruitment as soon as possible, but he knows it's a process that requires due diligence.

"I don't want to make the wrong choice and regret stuff, end up de-committing," he said. "That kind of stuff follows you." Top Stories
