Eyeing a Clemson visit

Clemson remains a possible destination for one of the top defensive lineman in Tennessee's class of 2013.

DT Herbert Moore Profile

East High School junior defensive tackle Herbert Moore hopes to take his first visit Tigertown in the near future.

"It will probably be in the summer or sometime soon," he told CUTigers in a recent interview.

Dan Brooks remains in contact with the 6-foot-2, 320-pound rising senior.

"He says how the campus is and it's going real great down there. He can't wait for me to visit the campus, so he can see me," Moore said.

He'll visit either LSU or Mississippi State this weekend. Last weekend, he visited Ole Miss.

"I felt the love down there. I felt that I was a part of the family. I have a strong relationship with the coaches," Moore said.

Clemson, Illinois, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Purdue and Vanderbilt have offered.

"Hopefully, LSU, Mississippi State and Kentucky offer," he said.

Who leads, in order?

"I have a top three right now. It's Ole Miss, Clemson and North Carolina."

He also has a timeline for a decision.

"My coaches think it would be really good for me to make an early decision, in June," Moore said. "But, if my summer doesn't go how I plan, it might be around signing day."

As a junior, he had 42 tackles.
