Clemson makes top three for GA RB

The Atlanta area is loaded with running backs in the 2013 class. Like they are for several of them, Clemson is in good standing with this prospect.

Milton High School [Alpharetta] junior Peyton Barber has offers from Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, UCF and Vanderbilt.

"Clemson is in my top-three. That's all I can say for sure now," Barber said in a recent interview with CUTigers.

This spring, he's visited Auburn, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Kentucky.

The 5-foot-10, 211-pound rising senior has a few more lined up in the upcoming days.

"I'm going to Clemson sometime during spring break. I'm not sure which day I'm going. I'm going to UCF and UNC," Barber said.

Clemson running backs coach Tony Elliott remains in contact.

"We're talking once or twice a week. It's pretty much just catching up. He's seeing how I'm doing. I'm seeing how he's doing. He'll talk about how things are going at Clemson," Barber said

He has no timeline for a decision.

"I guess whenever I find that right place, whenever I feel like I'm ready to make a decision, I'll make a decision," Barber said.

During an injury-riddled junior season, which saw him suffer a high ankle sprain, Barber He went to rush for 363 yards on 69 carries. Top Stories
