Four-star LB meets Venables

The No. 9 linebacker in the class of 2013 made a visit down to Clemson on Monday afternoon.

Larenz Bryant, the Vance High School [Charlotte, N.C.] rising senior also previously visited Clemson for the January Junior Day.

He spoke with CUTigers about his most recent trip to Tigertown.

"I got to see Vickery Hall and I got to see the linebackers meeting," he said.

Defensive coordinator Brent Venables was among the coaches he met with while on the visit.

"He liked my film. He liked my play-making ability," Bryant said.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect received a message from Venables.

"He said I could play either inside or outside, but he said it would be up to me," Bryant said. "I would rather play outside."

Clemson, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina and Virginia have offered.

Who leads?

"All my schools are equal."

Bryant has a timeline for his decision.

"Before my season starts, I at least want to at least have my choices, either A or B," he said.

As a sophomore, Bryant had 56 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, three pass breakups and two interceptions. He racked up 144 tackles as a junior. Top Stories
