Barfield Commits to Clemson

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported today that Shukree Barfield has commited to play football at Clemson University. Barfield, a top defensive end prospect from New Jersey, becomes the fifth known verbal commitment in the 2004 class.

"Camden High senior-to-be Shukree Barfield, one of the top two-way linemen in South Jersey, has made an oral commitment to attend Clemson on a football scholarship. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Barfield said he chose Clemson over Tulane, Penn State and Tennessee."
