Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, USC and Ole Miss have offered Dye, who is ranked as the No. 18 running back in the class of 2013.
"I've kind of got some schools I do like: Georgia, Clemson, Auburn and South Carolina," he said. "I plan to go to Tennessee this summer and I plan to go to South Carolina."
Dye has already taken three visits to Clemson.
"I love the coaching staff. They're cool coaches. I like the running back coach. He's a pretty cool guy. Coach Elliott, he stays in touch with me a lot on Facebook. I'm supposed to give him a call sometime this week, to talk to him," he said.
Just right around the corner for him is Athens, and he grew up a fan of the Bulldogs. There was a brief time when Georgia stopped recruiting him.

His first trip to Auburn was earlier this spring.
"I think it was a good visit. I like that they guarantee you four years of school, regardless if you're playing football or not. I like the coaching staff. I like that they have one of the best running backs in the SEC,' he said.
Dye has yet to make visits to Tennessee or South Carolina.
"I just want to try to see how it is up there, to see if I can relate or anything," he said.
Elbert County head coach Sid Fritts called his four-star running back "a very likeable kid."
"He doesn't have any of that baggage. He doesn't have any of those attitudes, none of the ego that you see from a lot of guys with his ability," Fritts said.
On the field, Dye's been a workhorse for the Blue Devils.
"He's a rare blend of speed and power. Normally, you either get a power back or a speed back," Fritts said. "He's a sub 11 [seconds] 100 [meter] guy. He bench presses 210 pounds. Those guys are not around very often.
"I've been fortunate to coach some good players in the past. With what he brings, in terms of being a complete back with hands, size and speed, he may be as good as we've ever had."
As a junior, the four-star standout rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns.
