CB Shaquille Wiggins Profile
The rising senior cornerback from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga. nearly made a visit to Tigertown earlier this month for the Orange and White spring game.
"I ended up going to G-Day, but I'll end up taking an official," Wiggins told CUTigers after Saturday's Nike Football Training Camp at Buford High School.
An old teammate has helped spark the interest.
"I would say feedback from my former teammate, Darius Robinson that goes there. I would kind of base my personality on his personality. If he likes it, I'd like it," Wiggins said. "I just want to go see. I've never been down there. I want to go see and get a feel for the coaches, to just get a feel for it."
What's Robinson told him?
"It's a great place. It's not a real party, party town. You can stay focused and stay on your grind."
Wiggins is unsure if he'll take official visits to other schools, besides Clemson and Georgia.
"There will probably be a couple ACC, SEC schools," he said.
As a junior, Wiggins had 40 tackles and nine interceptions. He returned two interceptions for touchdowns and he also scored two touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball.
