Briggs Eyeing a Clemson Visit?

Michael Briggs, a talented two-way starter from North Carolina, hopes to receive his first offer as he visits several colleges over the summer. CUTigers.com caught up with the Gastonia star last night and we've got the latest on his summer plans.

The top 5 of North Carolina, Notre Dame, Clemson, South Carolina and Navy has not changed for the 6-1, 228 pound prospect from Ashbrook High School. "North Carolina and South Carolina are recruiting me the hardest at this point."

The outstanding linebacker and fullback leaves for camp at Notre Dame on Monday. Other summer visits will likely include Clemson and East Carolina. "I'm still real high on Clemson. I'm trying to find time to get down there. Hppefully I'm goint to try to go this summer if I can."

Briggs has gone on record to say that he'd like to commit early next fall. "I want to commit early but I need to wait to see who offers. Several schools have talked about offering but told me that they want to see me play a couple of games first."
